Hi

Can anyone tell me where in this issue for the pyramid cards, are the instructions for the hanging decorations.  It keeps repeating that the steps for this is on page 51. There are no steps for the decoratiion on this page.

 Am I missing something?

I'm not sure but I think..when it says follow the steps on page 51 to make the pyamid base...as it's already on page 51 it means 50... I don't see any templates for the hangiing pieces, so I'm guessing you have to do those yourself, just make sure your cut out section is large enough for your chosen hanging shape...but it does make it sound as though there should be reindeer and bauble shapes to make too!

Hi

Thanks

Sarah_Bostock

 Hi Gracie1704,

I know what you mean - making cards for men can be tricky sometimes!

Why not make a card featuring their hobby? Maybe something to do with football, golf, cars or surfing?

Papermania have a great range called It's a Man's Life - visit www.docrafts.com to check it out.

Lili of the Valley - www.liliofthevalley.co.uk -  and Jolly Nation - www.jollynation.com - also have brilliant stamps and die-cut images which would work well on men's cards.

I hope this helps!

Best wishes,

Sarah

stamping inks

please can you tell me what stamping inks I should use.  There are so many out there, it baffles me, therefore I avoid stamping, but it is a shame, as I see such beautiful work.  What stamp do I use for promarkers, pencils for use with water, etc. Would love to know. Many thanks Ursula XX

Use a Versafine Onyx black ink stamp and immediately follow with an extra fine clear embossing powder.  Apply heat tool to set.  Makes all the details of the stamp stand out.  For watercolor, use watercolor pencils.

i use memento tuxedo black when using my promarkers, and black stazon when useing water pencils. just remember to clean yous stamps after.

Hi Ursula,

I've found the best ink for stamping is Memento dye ink. It doesn't smudge at all when you use ProMarkers so it's the ideal medium to use. It comes in a wide range of colours too!

There's no need to avoid stamping, try starting with a simple stamp, and work your way up to the more detailed ones as your confidence grows. VersaFine ink is good for intricate stamps as it ensures detail is not lost.

It's great that you want to try out water colouring, it's a fun technique that produces beautiful results! Watercolour pencils are definitely the best way to start as they're mess-free. Simply colour in your image with the pencils as you would usually, and then dampen a paintbrush and use on the image to get that gorgeous water coloured look. You can buy waterbrushes too, these have a reservoir of water in them so the brush stays constantly damp.

I hope this helps, if you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to write to us, or drop us an email at help@cardmakingandpapercraft.com

To remove any adhesive.

I use this stuff called UNdu in the states and man it is just amazing!!! I put my finger over the end and just drip it on when all paper is wet it just peals off like butter. Let it dry ~only takes seconds and the adhesive sticky comes back so you can re-stick the product in the right place the next time. Isn't that grand? I also use this when I put too much postage on a package so I can re-use the stamps. I have saved myself tons of money, it also works on car stickers! Hugs from Ohio USA  Alesia Fowler
